The 5th General Assembly formally confirmed that the SWIPO (Switching Cloud Providers and Porting Data) Association is open for business and ready to accept service declarations in application of Article 6 of the EU Free Flow of Non-Personal Data Regulation (“Porting of Data”). 

The 5th General Assembly also appointed 4 candidates for the SWIPO Appeals Board and approved the process for appointing a Complaints Body Secretariat. The Complaints Body will include the Secretariat and at least five experienced, independent professionals and it will manage any customer complaints submitted in relation to future Cloud Service Providers’ declarations of adherence to a SWIPO Code of Conduct. 

With these final steps in its governance structure, SWIPO AISBL is open for business and accepts declarations of adherence
